stairs at daycare

OP here. Older babies (usually non-walking, < 1 year old) are usually placed in the same class here, it's just happened so that currently there are no non-walking baby, and my son and two more kids will be joining the program soon. I know the other child who's coming to this class is about the same age, so unless that child is a early walker, otherwise it will be another non-walking baby. I'm not sure about the third child coming though.

There are no emergency crib visible in the gym. I think there may be another exit from upstairs, so I guess if a crib is placed that would solve the fire code problem. I actually did not think of the fire situation and was only worrying the child falling from stairs, since it's so hard and steep. I'll have to start teaching DC to sit at the stairs ! He loves standing at the stairs (and pretend he's like everyone else?) and it scares me.
