No, it's not saying anything like that at all. I paid $950,000 to living Country Club Hills -- no Cheesecake factory to be found. But Target? As we all know, Target is the store for poors. |
yes to all of the above and add the free yoga every sunday on the Angelika lawn. re he fresh butcher - the meat does not look that fresh, this one has been a disapointment. maybe i always catch them on a bad day |
That's a bit of s stretch, don't you think? The area is in the midst of a massive redevelopment campaign. |
you should see the cars parked in the garage. Those poor people driving BMWs... |
Good enough for the First Lady but not for you, eh? |
guessing that it's which with fingers on the wrong keys. |
No fair. There's nothing in Country Club Hills except old people. It's hard to complain about whether the local retail is low-brow when the most exciting thing in the neighborhood is a Peapod truck. |
Arlington is old news |
|
the area has a lot to do now and the commuting is good to nearly anywhere (I lived there for 12 years), but I would never spend $850K for a townhouse there. For that price, you could get a townhouse in most parts of North Arlington, or a single family house in either Arlington or Fairfax feeding into Woodson HS.
Also, Falls Church HS, while perfectly fine, is not generally one of the schools families prefer. |
Yeah, anyone can lease a car. Another tactic of the poors. |
Huh. 7 families with kids on my street, and 16 in the intersection (34th and Albermarle). You should have seen the block party for the 4th. |
Yeah, sure. Give it a rest. We all know the "kids" in Country Club Hills only are recognized as adults around the time they get their AARP cards. If there were really kids in CCH who still need diapers, strollers, Justin Bieber posters or a year's supply of Axe, you and your s neighbors would welcome a Target with open arms. |

| Arlington sucks |
|
There are cheaper, but older, TH down the road on Lee Hwy. The mature trees, tot lots, quieter, and more of a neighborhood feel is the trade off for not being able to walk out the door to go downstairs to 4 Sisters, but we could still walk to Safeway, Starbucks, and everything else in the PanAm shopping ctr very easily.
Given that, however, we moved when child #3 came along and we outgrew our TH. Plus, the school pyramid sucked, but we loved living there when it was just us and the dog. |
