disgusting |
Um, no. I'm the normal dog owner who has called animal control on aggressive dogs at the dog park (like the bahvior you described). But I have also rolled my eyes at the people who bring their dog to the dog park and spend the entire time carrying them around or following them around and not letting them interact with any other dog or freaking out when another dog sniffs their dogs butt. |
A lot of people find it less disgusting than having a kid crap on itself. |
bravo, way to inject the toddler potty training debate! Let's really get this rolling! |
PP here. Ok you are correct and yes based on your post are a normal dog owner. I apologize! |
No worries. We've experienced some pretty awful owners at dog parks too.
|
LOL could you tell by my reaction to your post ...thw WORST of the worst...all of them must go to Cabin John park!
|
I'm not the PP. My experience has been that the owners with aggressive dogs at dog parks (the worst offenders) aren't necessarily people who neglect their dogs. They're usually the ones who just won't face reality that they have an aggressive dog. Aside from the dog park, I've encountered some Pit Bull rescue people like that. They're (the owners) not dangerous because they are neglectful. They're dangerous because they're not honest with themselves about their dogs. And they have this deluded notion that being honest about the potential for a dog to be aggressive is someone equated with giving up on the dog or calling it a bad dog. There are plenty of dogs that aren't bad dogs, but they are too unpredictable around other dogs and just shouldn't be brought to a dog park, because the whole concept of a dog park is that people should feel free to let their dogs run around without hovering over them. |
Wow. Defensive much!? I think we found our first helicopter dog owner here. |
A diaper holds and contains the urine or feces and then it is promptly wiped or washed off and replaced with a clean diaper. A dog shitting or pissing on the floor splashing urine or feces outside of the open pad letting it perpetuate the air for hours is completely different. |
So do you think people should put their dogs in diapers? Or just potty train them to go outside? |
| Someone might call me a helicopter dog owner because he's never left to roam unsupervised. But I'm OK with that because I'll never have to post about my dog having a ball of yarn blocking in his intestine. |
??? "roam unsupervised" What does that mean? Roam around he neighborhood like a stray or roam around the house or the yard? Sure, no one should let their dog roam around the neighborhood unsupervised. But I've had several dogs in my lifetime. They were allowed to walk around the house or the yard "unsupervised" and none of them ever had any problems with something blocking their intestines. |
Dog parks aren't good for dogs. I walk my dog and run with my dog, but we don't go to the dog park. http://leerburg.com/dogparks.htm |
This. Or they insist on bringing their dog into the park on leash in a fenced area and then freak out when the dogs start getting aggressive with each other when one is on leash and one isn't. Morons. |
