What kind of backpack does your young elementary student have?

We had a Lands End for two years and it was great, K-1. This year we ordered the Garnet Hill one that came with the free lunch box. It arrived last night and I am pretty impressed with the quality and design of both so far.

so glad to hear the good reviews for the LLBean Junior. That is what I got for my child entering K this year and I just hope it is big enough for what she needs. It definitely fits her well.

plenty big for fcps kindergarten - it held his folder, reusable container and water bottle in front pocket, and his lunchbox went in the main pocket as well - it's pretty roomy

My DD is starting Kindergarten in the fall and I'm just wondering about the options out there. I know rolling is a no-go and it has to be "big" enough, but is too big a problem? She's average height for her age. Any features I should keep an eye out for?

Thanks!

like this - but Monsters U instead
hard plastic
rolling
