need Bethesda date night recs

Also, if you stay down at the Bethesda Ave/Bethesda Row end of things (where Vino Volo, Mon Ami Gabi, Jaleo, Redwood, and some others are), you can walk some more after dinner, and get gelato at Dolcezza. That plaza (where Redwood is also located) is a nice outdoor hangout at night. You can also browse at Barnes & Noble or watch children and dogs at the fountain in front.

It is NOT reliably good. No.

Better choice: Black's Bar & Kitchen

They have nice booths near the bar - eat there. You get a great view, great interior space and there will be NO families with kids. Problem with Bethesda is too many families out with precious snowflakes ruining other parents' hard-earned date nights!

We were just at Black's for the zillionth time and I agree it is a good choice for drinks and dinner. My TODDLER recommends the salmon, but I much prefer the flank steak.

Black's is ok, but I think it's a little overpriced (and overrated by some). If it's nice enough to sit outside then i would say it's a nice space, but the interior bar is nothing special.
