fetal doppler

I have and love angelsound . It was only 27 dollars. It has worked consistent but you have to know where to look for baby hb. However there is no visual heartrate count .I'm 35 weeks and high risk so I already get frequent visits, monthly ultrasounds and now weekly bpp and nst but after having a miscarriage last fall it kept me from going in unnecessary but eased my mind during moments of less activity . Last night her pattern was different so i checked and her hr was still the same as last week during my appts. i have ultrasounds , bpp and nst today already but may have went in otherwise last night. I had reservations as well regarding dopplers at home but I'm glad I made the purchase. This being my first pregnancy I didnt hesitate to go in to er and ld for reassurance outside of regular appointments during her les active months during the 1st and 2nd trimester.

In all seriousness - I don't get this comment. HB is all the docs check for. Of course if you feel greatly reduced movement late in the pregnancy you should go in. But at say 14-30 weeks, how can they hurt?

I have the angelsound and have been happy with it. I think I started using it around 12 weeks, knowing that there might be times I wouldn't be able to find a hb, and that it would be OK, and that I just needed to put it away and try again the next day. That said, I couldn't find a hb only once. Before I started feeling movement, I used it about every other day, or every 3 days for no more than a minute, just long enough to hear the hb (same reasons Jin said). I felt movement later- around 19 weeks, and I have an anterior placenta, so it's still pretty irregular at 21 weeks. Since I've been feeling movement, I've still used it twice when things have been quieter, just for some reassurance. Since kick counts don't usually start until later, 28 weeks or so, because things can be irregular, I'm definitely glad I have it.
