Agreed. It was McCain at his best, a side I didn't think we saw much during the campaign. It's amazing how so many candidates come across much, much better AFTER the election when they can start to be true to themselves again. Remember Bob Dole, Gore, now McCain....

BTW, big time Dem hear who also seriously considered McCain before he was sacrificed on the Rep altar of ultra-conservatives. "They" (rep heavy players) never really wanted him anyway. Watch out or Palin-Steele. Although the drilling jokes might get outta hand.

Truly sad thing to watch someone who clearly wants to serve his country go down like that. Honestly hope McCain will swallow his pride for the good of reform and things like national security and immigration. And if Obama keeps his promise to listen, that will be even better.

Just keep McCain faaar from economic and health care policies.
