Sibley private rooms

Even with a planned c-section, there's no guarantee you'll get a private room!

I was initially put in a shared room - but I was the only one in there. The next day they moved me to a private room.

my shared room was great! i know it goes against what everyone else says, but i really enjoyed sharing the room. the woman on the other side of the curtain had a c-section the day before and this was her second baby. it was really nice to have someone to ask questions, other than the nurses. she gave me little tips and made me feel better about being uncomfortable and in pain. as a first time mom, i didn't know anything including when to call the nurses. the other mom made me feel like it was ok and natural to call for assistance all the time. i would feel like i was doing somehting wrong when my baby would cry and it made me feel better that her baby also cried a lot.

she left after the second day and i had the large room to myself the rest of the time. fyi- i was at sibley during a baby boom, but it worked out that i didn't get another roomy. i would be very comfortable getting a shared room again.
