Pregnant while breastfeeding?

Twenty yrs ago, I was nursing my son and I guess then, Dr.s had different info or maybe mine was just dumb. Anyhow, he told me since I was nursing, I wouldn't get pregnant and that it would be unhealthy for me to use birth control until I stopped since it would affect my milk.

Well I ended up getting pregnant.

Congrats, OP! Just wanted to chime in that I also got pregnant while nursing at 15 months. I think PP is correct... less common to be nursing that long. Best of luck!

Congratulations! I got pregnant twice while breastfeeding (first baby was 6 months old, 2nd time was 12 months old)
