Can I leave my car overnight in a metro parking lot?

I left mine at New Carrolton several times no problem. I usually park where the cabs sit. This last time I could only find parking in the back of the lot and someone broke my window, taking only the change in my cup. Now I have to spend hundreds having the glass fixed.

I believe there's zero enforcement. I've done it many times at Grosvenor and White Flint.

Just make sure you're not in a "reserved until 10 a.m." spot.

I just left my car on the top level of the Shady Grove metro parking garage on a Wednesday through Sunday and everything was fine. I've left it longer in the past.

I've left my car overnight in the Grosvenor and New Carrolton metro stops before with no issue. I didn't even know some stations had overnight parking areas.

2017 thought? Need to leave the car overnight somewhere near glenmont. Friday - Sunday afternoon; think it'd be ok in the metro lot?

I've only done it at Huntington. Technically, you're only supposed to leave a car overnight in the spots that are designated for that (they're in the taller garage). However, I'd believe that there's no enforcement.

Actually there is some enforcement, but each lot doesn't get patrolled each day. You might get lucky and you might get towed. No way to know. Greenbelt has overnight parking. I live right near Glenmont and unless you find street parking, I can't think of anywhere you could leave your car. I think the church right next to the station rents spaces. You might try to contact them.

I've done it a bunch of times at Vienna and Dunn Loring, mainly to take the metro to DCA. I had no idea we weren't supposed to. I do avoid the reserved until 10am spots. Never had an issue, and I've left it there for multiple days.

People I know do this all the time to avoid paying for airport parking.

Has anyone left their car overnight at Wheaton? Any chance of getting towed or the car stolen or vandalized? Thaks

I park every day at Wheaton and I've seen cars sitting there for days on end. It depends on your level of risk tolerance though.

Any recent experience with this at West Falls Church? I’ve done it in the past with no issues not even realizing it wasn’t allowed...

Bumping this thread,

Wondering if anyone has done this recently. It would be from Friday to Saturday.
