What do you do for lunch on the weekends if not going out?

Op here - I have a 2 and 4 year old and we're not European. We just like nice meals.

My weekend is usually something like this. 3yo breakfasts at 7:30/8. Then we either go to or make brunch at around 11:30. Then she has a nap. Then we have an afternoon snack and I make a slightly more involved dinner than during the week.

Brunch is usually something along the lines of baked eggs or huevos rancheros. Very rarely we'll do a sweet thing. I find cooking relaxing, so the more complicated the dinner option, the better, as far as I'm concerned. It's much cheaper than therapy.

As a kid, we often had burritos, spaghetti carbonara, or tuna noodle casserole for lunches on weekdays.

Our breakfasts are usually later in the morning and bigger (pancakes/waffles at 930/10) and so we usually skip lunch or have a light snack to tie us over to a bigger-than-usual dinner.
