Yes my mom is going to the funeral today. Her bf is a family friend I believe. Do they know why? |
Does anyone ever really know why?! Isn't that why suicide is so incredibly painful for those left to wonder wth they could've done/not done to have stopped it? |
So sad. My heart aches for his family. Sadly, I have known a few families who have dealt with this. One was an adult veteran suffering from PTSD. One was a teenager who had been molested. And one was gay, and he thought his parents wouldn't accept that. Sadly, the loved ones rarely have an inkling that their loved one would even consider suicide. But what I've learned from walking this path with friends is that it's important for parents to make it clear to their children that they will always love, accept and help them regardless of any issue that arises. And just to clarify, I'm not passing judgment on any family that has gone through this. I'm just sharing the general circumstances surrounding the awful suicides of folks I knew. Saying a prayer for his family. |
I was just reading his obituary. Were his parents divorced? I don't understand how he has a sister with a different last name. |
Maybe she is older and married, maybe she is a child from the prior marriage of one of the parents. Lots of ways that kids in one family could have a different last name. |
You were reading his obituary, and the thing that you remarked on was his sister having a different last name? |
Cut it out. Nosy people.. |
Agreed. |
