Would you get a confirmation after sending/faxing the AAP form?

Anonymous
No, that's not true. If you are appealing, you need to mail it directly to Fair Ridge Drive. The AART at your school, at this point, has nothing to do with the appeal process.

If you are appealing, I would mail it, either certified, or return receipt requested, or some way to track it.

Sorry about that. When I appealed for my DC two years ago, I hand-delivered it to the school AART (that was the procedure then) but it may well be that the procedure has changed. Apologies for any confusion.

Hand delivered the appeal packet to the aap office on fairfax ridge, across from the NRA.

Really? I just sent it regular mail.

I don't see the need for going to the trouble or expense of sending it certified mail. I sent it regular mail and kept a copy for my file along with the original acceptance letter. If I don't get an email confirmation in a few weeks, I'll follow up with a phone call. And I say this as someone whose DC's name wasn't on the list of expected kids when we showed up at the center for orientation.

You wen to aap orientation and your dc hasn't been accepted, yet? What was that like?

She was accepted. But when we got to orientation her name wasn't on the list of kids they were expecting. It made me feel a little paranoid, like maybe there'd been some kind of misunderstanding on our part. But I STILL didn't think it was necessary to send the acceptance form back by certified mail.

PP, I thought you were referring to the appeal form - this is what I was talking about, and what I hand delivered to the AAP office (near the NRA). Happy for your DC - AAP is really great! Our oldest DC is in it.

We didn't get a confirmation yet, faxed it on 13th and also mailed it on 16th. Anyone who didn't yet receive confirmation?
Anonymous
Me. But we faxed it at the eleventh hour (May 17th).

Me either. Faxed on the 9th, mailed on the 16th.

I didn't either - I just called to confirm they got it (they did)

Mailed on the 10th and have not received any confirmation. Called a couple of days ago and confirmed it had been received.

I mailed on the 14th and have not received confirmation. Are most people recieving notice?

Why did people mail AND fax?

I guess just to be sure. I didn't fax - just regular mail. Another question. We are moving from base school to Center. Should I expect any communication from the Center before the August letter with class assignments?
