Great idea! To whom would I take this idea - Dr. Z, Dr. Aste (Principal) or Patty Reed (School Board)? Thanks for any suggestions - I really LOVE this idea!!! |

I'm glad that you like this idea! Why should gen ed teachers have to differentiate with such a broad group when for AAP the population is already much more targeted/narrow? Splitting gen ed up more by level, at least for those who narrowly missed being in AAP, should help all kids get a more appropriate level of instruction for a greater amount of time that they are in class. Maybe talk with some teachers first to make sure there is buy-in there and no issues that we parents may not have thought of? |

| Yes, would like to know if Crossfield families will stay at Crossfield or go to the new center. Navy is already closed because it's at capacity, so I think the school doesn't want more kids. At least that's what it sounded like at the orientation. |

| yes, the school won't take any transfer students because it was over capacity before the center was even created. look at dashboard and you can see that. if you are at navy and going into 3rd in aap then of course you can stay. and if the crossfield parents send their 3rd graders then they will be able to go there. but you can't pupil place a sibling and they will need trailers starting next year becuase the school is already at capacity. |

Well, doesn't WM offer advanced math and differentiated reading groups? What more do you want?
Having a classroom of ineligible pool kids is never going to happen due to IDEA. |

What they have been saying is they 'hope' there won't be trailers. Every new family that moves in has small children... but the dashboard numbers show 50 - 60 kids leaving each year. Don't know why any part of our county would expect such a dramatic drop. Especially when you become a center and now attract other new families. |

I don't think Navy is good for AAP. They are not ready for Level IV They don't have good enough programs either. |
