Would you change a feedback on Etsy only because the store owner demanded it in order to refund you?

I would not remove the feedback, even if it ends up meaning you lose your money. I think you can also file a report with PayPal. They can hold the money while the case is investigated. Check with them to see what you can do.

Lastly I never leave feedback for anyone I buy from that I am unhappy with until I get my refund. For exactly this reason, they can be nasty all they want because they have already seen what the buyer will do. No feedback left, they will bend over backwards to avoid any chance of a negative feedback. At best, they could have asked for it back, given you a refund and gotten a feedback that read item not as expected, seller refunded my money. That way, you are able to leave a feedback that isnt negative but clearly tells others to be aware, they dont sell quality items.

I agree. I would fight this until I got some response, just out of principle. D-bags like that shouldn't get positive feedback.

Fight the power! Companies or sellers who operate like that might win a tiny battle but likely ultimately lose the war.

PayPal will automatically take the money out of her acct and hold it if you open up a case. I would dispute it.

Etsy is under no obligation to get involved.
OP, does this vendor have it's own TOS? Read them closely.

Etsy, for the benefit of users, may try to help users resolve disputes. Etsy does so in Etsy's sole discretion, and Etsy has no obligation to resolve disputes between users or between users and outside parties. To the extent that Etsy attempts to resolve a dispute, Etsy will do so in good faith based solely on Etsy's policies. Etsy will not make judgments regarding legal issues or claims.

Really for $28 you want to go crazy? Just write something and get it over with.

I don't think you can open a complaint with the BBB for some random Etsy seller...
