Since my kids don't eat meat, I am not aware of the meat quality served in schools and one PP' mention of the quality being low gave me a pause. If that is the case, I think going full vegetarian is better than serving bad quality meat.
It's nasty! Generally processed crap. Kids don't need meat at every meal anyway so they have the option of eating it at breakfast/dinner, or bringing their own lunch. We don't keep vegetarian but I would be thrilled if my DD's school did this.
