Using days off

I'm a salaried employee (engineer) at a big federal contractor. When work is light, the company uses my leave time to fill out my timesheet.

I suppose there is some ideal where all of my leave days are spent in exotic places but it doesn't bother me that about half of my vacation days are spent getting the car fixed, shopping, yard work and kids activities. Seems pretty common. I know folks earning less than me who don't have any leave or health benefits.

I only get two weeks...so I take every vacation day for a 2 week vacation. My sick days I take for sick. DC only allows for 6 days by law so that is all I get. so between doctor's appointments and actually being sick I take about 3 to 4. I HATE 2 weeks vacation.
