No worries, I just like to look - I'm not househunting in the area. Good luck, OP!

Nice try... I'm not falling for it

It's too bad you don't believe me - I really am just someone who likes to look at what is available and for what price. We bought a couple years ago - we're not going anywhere anytime soon.

Here are a couple I liked while browsing online - I almost posted them to the person who was trying to look inside the beltway for $500K homes with no luck. I think that person should consider Fairfax City.

I think this one was my favorite for potential: http://franklymls.com/FC8058402

This one is small, but adorable: http://franklymls.com/FC8064638

Have we really come down to being suspicious of random strangers on the Intertubes?

66 HOV gets crowded, too. It's a *little* faster than the other lanes, but sometimes it is the one at a standstill.

I used to commute from a little past FFX City to Rosslyn, so, not as far. The drive home really was the problem. If I was lucky, it was half an hour. If I wasn't, the drive would bloat to 60-75 minutes. The commute was making me miseable, so I found a new job that didn't make me spend so much time on 50 or 29.

OP here: thanks for all the tips everyone!
To the poster who asked which houses I viewed earlier--
My favorite was that cute little cape cod on Woodland but it had water in one room of the basement when we visited...and DH is still fighting me on the idea of moving to Fairfax, even though we can clearly get so much more for our money and we've been hunting for 15 months in Arlington and Falls Church.

I lived at the intersection of 236 and 123 for a decade. Left my house at 7:15 AM, stopped at Starbucks, got to work (we have a sign in book) by 8 AM, maybe 8 03.

I used HOV.

Did you live at the gas station?

No, but near there.
