Where's Walter Johnson?

I'm probably not explaining that well but it really undermined the credibility of these kinds of lists for me.

But fwiw I don't think that WJ is quite in the same league as the other area HS. It may well be by the time the kids who are moving into $1m+ houses nowadays outside the Beltway get to HS, but if you look at the annual college admission stats they generally seem a step or so behind BCC, which itself isn't quite as competitive as the Ws.

I agree with the first point, but you sound like a snob on the second point. You are trying to say that there are more smart kids at BCC, Churchill and Whitman than WJ because you glanced at the college admission list of all 4 schools and it 'seemed' that way. I am open to your hypothesis, but you need to lay out your case better. What is your criteria and what are the results of that criteria. Likewise, you need to consider that some kids select 'lower ranked' colleges because they get scholarships. I know a kid at the Blair magnet who is going to a state school on a full ride. Without any evidence, your comment is just looks like a dumb snobby rant from a poor writer. My guess is that there are smart kids at all these schools.
