No space between master and child's bedroom

haha - our very first night in our first house (a small TH) I heard our neighbors getting the groove on at 2 something in the morning. I woke my husband up because I couldn't believe it. It happened pretty frequently - it was renters, young males. The house sold maybe a year later and we got a neighbor who was quiet as a mouse.

Of course, then I had a kid who screamed her head off for hours in the middle of the night - we always apologized like crazy and our neighbor swore he didn't hear her. Bullshit, dude - I know how thin our walls are! He was an awesome neighbor, though - so nice.

It's fine, people do it. My mother grew up in a 1 bedroom apt. In Brooklyn. Her parents made a corner for her and used a shower curtain to give her privacy. This was her reality and she never complined. Sounds crazy and not today's world for middle income people, but just found out an aquiatnce does the same thing for her son in their NYC apt.
