OP: Every parent says "there is a drug problem" at the better schools. Or the one they can't afford, or do not live in the boundary area of. News flash --there are drugs at ALL schools. There are also those who do not use drugs at ALL schools.

I agree that Woodson is a highly challenging school. My DC scored over 2100 SAT as a Junior on first try (last winter), SAT subject Math over 750, but could not get A or A- for the English or math classes for two years. We are frustrated!

Of course Mclean High. However, houses in Marshall district may be newer and cheaper...

If you want IB, it's Marshall. Also, Marshall is more diverse, if that's important to you. PP, it's not all about housing prices. Some people who can afford McLean choose Marshall.
