LAMB vs. Bridges for PS3

Spanish immersion wasn't too important to us (our daughter is already bilingual in another language). Plus, she's in one of Bridges bilingual classrooms so she's getting Spanish anyway. We really disintegrate like the high student to teacher ratio at LAMB or that parent involvement is restricted to observation hours. At Bridges, grandparents, parents, aunts, etc. are welcomed to the classrooms at any time. Morning breakfast at Bridges is great because parents hang around to help and chat (really builds community). Bridges also treats every student as they are special. I'm truly amazed how they can address every students needs--their very large support staff at both locations is unbeatable. I encourage you to stop by the Sharpe campus to get a feel for the future of the school.

Second this. I am impressed that Bridges takes an individualized approach to accelerated students, and creates appropriate educational goals for them even if that's more academically advanced than the rest of the class is ready for.

Sharpe will close for good in 2014 and Bridges hopes to continue their lease.

OP here. Thanks for the input. We will be releasing our spot at LAMB. Good luck to the next person on the list. We were very impressed with LAMB and I think we could be happy there but Bridges seems to be a better fit for our family.

OP, do you mind sharing your WL number for Bridges?

who are you lucky people with spots at two schools? We struck out everywhere except Garrison. You all should play the real lottery, I guess.

So, what are your current thoughts on Garrison? It seems like its on the up and up. We are considering this as well for pre-k 3.

We missed the pizza party this past Friday but are hoping to get a tour before registration is up. We have to decide whether to leave our preschool for Garrison or stay another year and then apply to our boundary school (Hearst) for PK4. It's hard for us to think a school that was just on the closure list is on the "up and up," but we like how the parents banded together to save the school.

Congratulations OP. Bridges is a wonderful school - hope you love it as much as we do.
