Wait until after the tests to start eating gluten free, otherwise the tests may not be accurate.
Here's my suggested replacements. Pasta: Andean Dream Quinoa Pasta. We find it at Mom's or on Amazon. Bread/bagels/etc: Udi's and only Udi's! Baking: Better Batter All Purpose Flour. King Arthur gluten free baking mixes (cake, brownies, muffins). Soy sauce: San J Gluten Free Tamari sauce. Oats: Bob's Gluten Free Quick Oats Be sure to check candy, ice cream, condiments, etc for ingredients that contain gluten and take measures to prevent cross contamination if your entire family is not going to eat gluten free (separate preparation surfaces, separate toasters). |
| Great suggestions so far. I would add that carrying a cell phone to call the manufactures when shopping is also helpful. If a product said natural flavors or some other ingredient I was not sure of I would call the number on the back. Almost every one was kind and helpful! |
