The WISC measures both verbal and performance IQ, too. It has an entire series of questions that are non-verbal. My kid with an ASD showed a huge range between his performance IQ and his verbal IQ. He put his score on the matrices section through the test ceiling, but scored low-normal on some verbal portions. It also tests processing speed and working memory, along with other things. It was a really useful test for us.
