| We're one for one. |
| Sorry, maybe need more information -- we've bid on one place and we lost it. Made me grumpy for a week. I think I better get used to it. |
| Alot, thankfully we lost and the two houses we ended up with are perfect. There are three i'm still sore about but I've moved on. |
| We lost two but the one we won is SO much better! |
Also lost 2, but 3rd time was the charm! It's brutal here, but I have a friend who lives out west and they lost 9 before finally finding a home! It is such an emotional rollarcoaster, but we didn't settle and were so happy now that we did lose those first two

| Lost 1, won 1. Happy. |
| Lost one so far, I think we're about to lose a second. We're first-time home-buyers, so this is crushing me. |

Are those of you who are losing bidding over or under ask?
I've lost twice but always a bit under ask, which I realize isn't competitive in this market. I'm hopeful that when my dream house comes along and I'm willing to be a bit more aggressive, I'll have more luck. |
| We offered over asking and escalated a little bit. We were the 2nd highest offer and "given the opportunity the match the other offer and the place would be ours," so we matched. The next morning they accepted the other offer after they used us to drive up the price. Grumble. |
PP here who made 8 offers. Generally they were at asking, occasionally over. I found that some properties would list low in order to generate interest - have an open house, and wait to accept offers for a few days. This gave everyone a chance to get their offers together.... and then there was so much competition. Smart from the seller side, but really annoying from the buyer side. |
