Go with the cobalt blue. I was going to suggest that before opening this thread.

Someone said, though, that the new ones are made with cheap plastic parts and don't hold up like the old Kitchen Aids. See if you can buy an old one on eBay.

OP here, I'm going with the cobalt! My kitchen is almost all white and stainless steel. I need the pop of color. My style runs conservative and I was just worried about it looking too trendy since I plan to have it a long time.

Everyone's going to tell you to go with the colour you love, so I'm going to stick to practical considerations. I have a Kitchenaid Mixer, my friends have Kitchenaid Mixer- the matte colours are much easier to keep clean than the shiny ones.
