| Keep going, I'm looking for a practice recommendation that does lip injections. |
NP. Wow, she has so MUCH makeup on and too much filler. I agree, I prefer a subtler looking doctor. I don't want to look like Liberace's plastic surgeon got to me. |
| I went to the Washington Institute of Dermatologic Laser Surgery for awhile but my doctor left. I think it is probably an expensive choice and I'm not sure it was worth it. Any of the recommended doctors do a free consult? |
She's got today's front page of the Style Section in The Wash Post. |

I also go to Dr. Tamjidi. I totally get that she looks a bit odd but I love her. She has helped me with both aesthetic and medical issues and, honestly, has had a very soft approach with aesthetic stuff. She talked me out of fillers (I'm 38) and other treatments because she said I didn't need them. The one procedure she did for me was laser resurfacing for a scar and I had a good result.
So don't let her appearance make you think she will go overboard with you. Also, she's super nice. |
| Anyone seen dr berzin downtown on L St? I'm getting laser hair removal there & have never seen the docs. Both of the girls who did my laser said they got their injections there & they looked good.... I'm curious since I'm considering botox for the first time. Also, anyone have experience with dr michaels in bethesda? |
| I need to get a lipoma removed from my hip (it's growing, it's undoubtedly benign but it's going to interfere with my clothes, etc. and the primary care doc wants it to come off. I believe a dermatologist or a plastic surgeon could do this -- any recommendations for someone who could get me in quickly and locally for this.... |
| OP, Where are you located and how old are you? This info will help me make my recommendation. |
Same boat as you, PP! I went once and couldn't stomach another visit. She seems very nice but I couldn't take her seriously. |
She looks like a freak. Her husband went overboard with the lip injections and putting those chicken cutlets in her cheeks. I would not trust someone that did that to her face. |
I was shocked to read that she was only 35 after seeing that picture. |
|
I was too, she looks more like 50 trying to look 35.

| Dr. Cheryl Burgess. She used to do an advice column in Essence magazine. Cleared my crater face as a teen. |

I currently see Dr. Howard Brooks. He's a fantastic person and great bedside manner. I've gone to him for a long time and I don't think he charged me for a consultation, but if he did I've forgotten about it. My one problem with him is with my Botox injections. A week after the injections and my body has absorbed the Botox, I still get a couple of wrinkles above my brow line (just off the side of the arch). Dr. Brooks says that he can't do anything about it because he's afraid to get too close to my eyes, etc.
For reference, I just turned 40, but fortunately my skin is more like a 30 yo (I'm a religious user of sunscreen) and I don't require that much Botox. I just use it in between my brows and a little bit for the forehead wrinkle thing. Anyone else have this problem? Can you recommend who is great at Botox applications, because frankly I don't really see anyone else with this problem. I don't think mine is that noticeable because no one has ever said anything to me, but I notice it. |
| Someone mentioned noelle sherber. she also is overdone with filler and botox. She is very nice but you can't help but stare at the lips and cheeks. Not so sure she is the best but she gets lot of press. |
