I have taught and/or evaluated students for over 35 years and am absolutely shocked at the salary you quoted. Are you unionized?

Montessori is not for everyone, though we love it, please do your research before jumping in to teach in the system.

I have a friend who taught Montessori and was very frustrated.

Different schools can have internal tensions over the method.

While some kids thrive in Montessori, others do not. And unfortunately, I don't get the impression that teachers are free to be honest with parents when their kid isn't doing well in Montessori and might do better in a more traditional school.

She stopped teaching.
