About $3,200, not including mattress. That was another $2,000. |
$700-- I love Ikea! |
We have an all-wood set we got at rooms to go in 2001. Bed, 2 nightstands, dresser, mirror, and armoire. It was about $2500 then. Another $2000 for a King mattress set (beauty rest). We still have it all, it's in great condition. We've moved it 8 times in almost 15 years and it has held up great. |
Bed $1200
Mattress set about $2,000 |

About 5000, which I think is an obscene amount of money, but I was new in the US and had no idea of prices. Asked a relative who lived here for much longer and she recommended crate and barrel as the place to go for so ethi g good and not too expensive. Uh! Later found out she bought hers at costco - a whole set. I just got a bed and a mattress. |
Wow - I must be cheap. We have he money but can't conceive of spending this kind of cash on bedroom furniture.
And yes, OP, bedroom sets have been out for a long time. As another person mentioned, they are very early 2000s McMansion era. |
We have a $200 dresser from home goods, a Hemnes dresser, and a fabric headboard from Target. The mattress is really old and needs to be replaced (bought it in 2001). |
If bedroom sets are out of style, how do people with no sense of style decorate their bedrooms? |

Was this french antique? Curious for more explanation. |

We're doing Costco, OP. Super high quality - about $2000 for a whole set (if you like that look). We're buying 2 end tables, 2 dressers, we already have a bed $600 from Crate & Barrel. Mattress was $1200. |
