My daughter has been at the DC location for 8 months now. I am happy overall with the choice to send her there. My biggest gripe is the parking rules....4 spaces aren't nearly enough to accommodate the rush during drop off/pick up. The Director is a really nice lady and she seems to ensure that she communicates with the parents on the regular. I've had experience with the infant and toddler room thus far. Like someone stated before, after the formula, I can appreciate only having to provide the pampers and wipes. They have wholesome breakfast and lunch and snacks (USDA food guidelines of course). They even provide whole milk for the kids.
I do love the teachers. They are very personable and helpful. I just wish the corporation understood how much of a role the teachers play on the well-being of our children. I hate to see great teachers leave because they feel they are treated as robots and not as human beings. Thankfully their unhappiness with the CCLC isn't taken out the kiddies. As far as the curriculum, they do provide a copy of their plans. They also provide their activity calendar and breakfast/lunch/snack menus. The kids go outside twice a day to release energy and enjoy the fresh air. As I said...I'm happy overall. It is one of the cheapest federal CCLC's. I know the infant room has a wait list but if you are a USDA employee, it helps bump you up in line. |

| There was a thread on this a few months ago that had some detailed perspectives -- do a search! |

There can be multiple threads on the same topic - if you don't have any info about what's asked - just don't respond! How hard is that? |

My son has been at this daycare now for one year to date and I have to say, this was one of the best choices I made. The space is beautiful and clean. (The website does this place no justice) I absolutely love the toddler and twos program. The teachers are so personable. They take time to speak with me about my son and they genuinely care about my son.
The curriculum is theme based so they explore so many different things and keep them busy. My son comes home singing and trying to tell me things and it blows my mind. They are doing construction so they no longer have access to the beautiful playground that was just built. The parking has gotten better. They let us pull into The Director is great! She always smiles and she even answer emails at night. The Assistant Director is great as well. She is very helpful. The overall atmosphere is very good!!! I am glad I chose to enroll my son at this location. This place is like a hidden jewel that no one knows about! |
This was clearly not written by a parent. It reads like it was written by staff. |
