What schools would Obama consider for her daughters?

A president's daughter attended Holton back in the 70's. No helicopter! But lots and lots of Secret Service.

Traffic was probably not at bad back then. Given the early start times these days, I would be surprised if they chose a school outside of the district.

I think Sidwell like Clinton did more liberal than that? GDS no doubt. Even if this is a school viewed as "too permissive" academically, it's graduates go to many ivy league colleges and fine liberal arts colleges.

What kind of students are these kids?
I wonder if some kid will be weeded out to make room.

How about if McCain wins, Sarah Palin will come live in the city too. Which schools will she pick for her pregnant teen and others.

Or will she leave her kid alone in a far away state by herself?

I didn't think they'd move here. I think if McPalin won, Palin would telecommute. That's the way she governs in Alaska.

Maybe Todd would homeschool the kids on the Palin compound. They could set up portables like the public schools use when they are crowded. One for a daycare, one for a school.

I suspect they are good students and I suspect any school in the area will squeeze in a couple more children. The article in the Post today notes that Obama thought about moving the girls to DC and putting them in private school when he won the Senate race. They probably already have a school in mind.

Based on what do you suspect that?
The chances are that they are just what they are, kids.
Did they become wizards from another planet ?

Oh please, let's get real. Those girls will go to any school their parents want them to go to. No private school is going to turn them down, and why should they?

Chances are they are bright kids. Their parents are bright and well-educated, they attend a great school in Chicago. Of course, they will get in.

The only reason they would not "get in" (and of course that is not what would be said, because in truth it would have NOTHING to do with the kids themselves) is that the school truly believed it could not accomodate the security issues.

Anyway, I hope it's Beauvoir/NCS so that we get to see that dreamy Barack at Back to School night.

Me too!

Any school they want to attend. Can you see any school AD saying no to the president of the United States. Also, as to whether they will bump other students who may be admitted, its two of them, not six and they will be in different grades. Will it be that hard to add 1 extra student to a classroom.

Let's bet, I say they'll go to Sidwell or GDS. (If he wins of course)

Are we totally ruling out a charter? He supports them, although his kids are currently in private.

Or maybe he will use a voucher
