Pizza place near Montgomery Mall?

Vince and Dominics isn't really conducive to having a nice conversation and catching up.

There is Broadway Pizza over in the Cabin John Plaza on Tuckerman. I haven't tried it and I don't know what the atmosphere is like.

The Ledo isn't bad.

No idea what's with the Vince & Dominic's love. They're nice folks, and it's a good place for a hoagie and a beer. But their pizza is heavy, flavorless, and awful.

Can't believe no one's mentioned Ledo. Love Ledo. Ledo, Ledo, Ledo, Ledo .....

Ew, don't like Ledo. Can't u drive over to Mia's in Bethesda?

VInce and Dominics - a little heavy, but at least the sauce and cheese taste like New York style pizza. No atmosphere. A hole in the wall.

Ledo - what's with the sweet sauce? I guess you have to be raised around here to enjoy it? Okay, but not really pizza in my book.

CPK - a chain, and the pizza isn't traditional. But it's good in it's own right, love the salads, and nicer atmosphere for conversation.

So agree with you. Vince & Dominic's is one of the worst. Second only to Potomac Pizza

If you think Flippin is better than V&D, you must think we're talking about fried chicken, not pizza. Vince and Dominics is the real deal, Flippin is high school cafeteria quality.

The ambience at Broadway is quite divine-red velvet banquets, tuxedo clad waiters bringing finger bowls after every course and strolling violinists. Also, don't forget to try the vichyssoise-DELISH!

V&D is not the real deal for me. Not even close - I'd rather eat a frozen Paul Newman pizza then eat Vince and Dominics. Read the reviews on Yelp. People either love it or they hate it. For me V&D pizza commits the following crimes: the pizza crust is way too thick, spongy, is lacking in yeast and is undercooked. Combine that with the cloyingly sweet sauce, barges of low quality cheese and canned mushrooms...gaaaaa.

If you like a thinner, yeastier, crisper crust, less cheese, a light hand with the toppings, a less sugary sauce, real mushrooms and no HFCS then you'll like Flippin. For me less is more. I wish I gone to high school where you went if you had pizza like Flippin Pizza.

See, I think Flippin is just so...meh. To each his own, I guess. 9:39, are you the owner of Flippin and worried about business slowing down even more when school lets out in the summer?

Hahahahaha...no I'm not the owner, just a person likes a nice slice of pizza from time to time.

Me too. Let's just agree to disagree....over a slice sometime FWIW, I'm a native Philadelphian and when I moved here years ago and saw what the pizza offerings were I almost moved back home. Have a super beautiful day!

You too. And I'm from Boston and lived in New York. Agree that the pizza options here are preeeeety slim. I remember crying about the coffee and bread when we first moved here. Now the coffee and bread is better and I've lived long enough to know what really matters. One consolation of getting older I guess.

It's pizza people - wow - you people are intense about everything.

I think the OP (who is new to the area) can check a few out and decide for herself.

Wow!

There are few consolations of getting older. Who cares if you know everything when everyone under thirty doesn't believe you. I'll tell you what really matters-Groupon!!!
