How does Annunciation Catholic School compare with Horace Mann Elementary?

Wow - the person who suggested Creative Minds, thanks so much, that is exactly what I was looking for - I put in my application today. Sounds like there are not many spots, but at least there's possibility with the lottery!

I've had friends who moved their kids out of Annunciation b/c it was so freaking easy, their kid was bored to tears.

There are other families in the area that drive across the park for reasons you mentioned for these schools. If you get in, post and I am sure you can find someone to carpool with.

Eaton? Seriously? If she wants to go DCPS, she can't do better than Mann. And if she's looking for a Deal feeder school, then she should choose Janney, Lafayette, or Murch. Eaton has too many OOB students, and is destined to get switched to Hardy anyway. Deal is overcrowded and Eaton is closer to Hardy. No advantage to Eaton (besides, all the Cleveland Park families go private anyway).

You must be white. Haven't checked lately but Eaton use to do the best job at educating AAs; better than Murch, Janney, Lafayette or Mann.
