OP are you taking bbirth control pills? I had this for awhile and after going off the pill for other reasons, this completely went away. I have to believe it was related as I made no other chnages in diet, excersise etc.

Same. Well mine is borderline, but my bigger problem are other rare conditions called syringomyelia and cranio cervical instability that often coexist with chiari. Tingling was my first real head scratcher symptom. Anyway it is probably nothing but worth getting checked by a neurologist. I would avoid activites that strain your spine until then in case there is an injury. First time I've seen another chiari person on the boards! Hi!

Just starting down the child path in DC Glad I'm not the only Chiari person here! I also have syringomyelia. I thought it would get better after being decompressed, but it is a pain in so many ways.

I too have chiari and have been having the tingling in my pinkies and toes. Just made a appointment with my neuro just to be sure. I do have a low vitamin d count so we'll see what's causing it.

I had this tingling in my hands and feet after I contracted a virus in a tropical country, and the doc said it was from the capillaries breaking when my blood cells released toxins from the virus. Preceding the tingling I had a fever and a full body rash. I took high doses of benadryl and it eventually went away. Not fun.

I had something similar. It wasn't tingling as much as my hands and feet seemed to sort of fall asleep. For me, it was hyperventilation due to anxiety. I focus on my exhales and count and try to breathe slowly through my nose making my exhales longer than my inhales. Some people have to go on anxiety meds for this, but so far I have avoided that so far. If my hyperventilating/panic attack progresses, then I hope it is in the evening when I can have a couple of beers. That calms me down. It is bad to self medicate, but it works for me.
