Turning in Papers Electronically - what are your views?

Anonymous
Does your child receive feedback during the writing process? I conference with my students individually while they are writing. A lot of it is verbal and they make notes.

Many students do not read the comments we make and only check the letter grade. That's why I give the majority of feedback before the paper is due.

Despite the rubric and all of the advice given, I am discouraged by how many kids don't read the rubric and turn in papers missing required elements and don't make the changes I suggest.

If the rubric is good- the points for each section should make it clear what was done correctly or not.... for example, if the rubric says 10 points for development of ideas - and the student gets only 5 points- then she didn't develop her ideas.
