I've never bought anything from the Giant deli. It always looks so unappetizing like it's been sitting in there for days. I live in a rather upscale neighborhood with not many choices so you'd think Giant would go out of their way to make the prepared food look edible.

I feel like a good pot roast with rich mashed potatoes is such a hearty, welcoming meal for company. When they walk in, the house already smells amazing, and you literally throw it in the oven in the afternoon and go about your day until it's ready. I brown mine off, then add carrots, onion, fresh rosemary and thyme, a couple beef bouillon cubes and cover the meat with water and let it go! Oven at 275, one hour per pound of meat at least. Mash up some potatoes with lots of butter, milk, and sour cream, and a nice crusty loaf of bread on the side.

Moroccan chicken. Awesome recipe that everyone loves and it really doesn't take but 10 minutes to throw together and then cook for a few hours. We usually cook it the day before and then reheat. Couscous is very fast.
can you link to a moroccan chicken recipe you use?
Biryani, farmer's meat stew, curried lentils, shaved cabbage salad and a fruit salad
Grilled salmon, fresh corn on the cob (summer time, especially), Israeli couscous, and a large green salad.
