DCPS PreK lottery recommendations for DC-newbies?

Make sure to rank your choices very carefully -- see the other thread on the new ranking system. I think (and others please correct me if I am wrong) that once you get accepted to a school, you get removed from the waitlist from the schools you ranked lower. (Not sure if the same is true if you get accepted at both choice # 1 and choice # 2 if you are now taken off the list for choice # 2, or it just applies to waitlists.) So it makes things harder for someone who is not sure where they want to live.
