My husband coworker says she pays $1400 per month total for kingdergarden for a 5 year old and preschool for a 3 year old at a center from 7am to 6:30pm, Mon - Fri. The center is in Falls Church.
Is that possible????? I think it is BELOW an in-home daycare rate. She wants to brag about how "great" her kids are learning w/o telling my husband the name of this fabulous center. Thoughts?!? |
| I pay $2250 per month for full time care for a 2 year old and 3.5 year old at a small daycare/preschool in Takoma Park. |
I posted earlier but we pay 1630 for two under two at an in home daycare. Like I said in my post, this is not the norm and we're pretty lucky to have found good care for this price...but it's not impossible. Even when we switch to a more structured program at the private school, when the girls are 2 (located at DH's workplace) it will still be under 1800 a month total...once again, really lucky. |
| Sorry meant to type 1760 for two under two...not 1630 |
| I'm an idiot and hate my I pad...it's 1460!! |
| Thanks for the responses. |

We too are EXTREMELY lucky. We have a 2 yo and a 16 mo old at an in home day care in Prince Georges County, MD and pay $1,340 per month for both. The monthly fee includes food (2 meals and a snack) and she actually has a curriculum. Not sure how much longer 2 yo (who will be 3 in March) will remain as he is showing definite signs for transition to pre-school environment. It has been great-however, by the standards of two highly educated (attorneys) and very persnickety individuals as parents.

| We are paying $3700 for 2. It's bigger than our 15 year mortgage. CRAZY! |

I pay around $2000 a month for a home daycare & preschool
4 years, 18 months in kingstowne. We are pretty lucky. |
| We're at $2900 a month for downtown, DC daycare. It's cheaper than a nanny + preschool and both my kids love it there. |
