| I love the burrito - do they still have it? |
|
I love the
avocado egg rolls (appetizers) Navajo sandwich Adam's Peanut Butter cup fudge ripple cheesecake |
| There's a reason it is called the Cheesecake Factory - because that's what's good to eat there. |
| They do have a skinny menu, and it is the only food for which they have nutrition info available (and even then, it's just broken into "all of these items are under ______ calories"). I had the chopped salad from the skinny menu the other day and it was tasty. I also like the blackened chicken sandwich, and the farfalle with chicken and peas and some other stuff....I can't remember what it is called. |
This is good. I had it recently. |
| Crab cakes are very good. I get the sandwich and eat it open faced. As a side, the sweet potatoe fries are great. For a drink, I like the passion iced tea, which doesn't have sugar in it. For salads, my favorite is the Thai chicken lettuce wraps, but very messy. |
| The Chicken Madeira is my absolute favorite. OMG craving some now. |

The only time I was ever unfortunate enough to have to go there I ordered an entree salad there once that was literally a dinner plate mounded 6" high. It made me want to vomit. I asked the waiter for a smaller plate and he stared at me stupidly as if he didn't understand. When he finally came back with the smaller plate I asked him to wait, put as much salad as I wanted to eat and asked him to take the ginormous, overflowing plate away. Again, confusion. "But you can box it, ma'am." Um, no, this is enough thanks. "Are you sure? I can bring you a box." Um, no, day old soggy salad really doesn't appeal to me, thanks.
And that is why I have never and probably will never go back. |
You sound like a delightful restaurant patron. |
I used to be a waiter and will tip 20% without fail unless you were a jerk. I wasn't rude to the guy - I just asked for what I wanted and refused a box I didn't want. It honestly was enough salad for a group of 6 piled onto one plate. Disgusting, I'm sorry. I didn't want to look at that huge mound of food sitting in front of me while I ate, and I was utterly appalled by the portion sizes and the waste that was leftover after our meal. As a PP said, it is so indicative of everything that is wrong with America's attitude toward food. |

I went once with friends for a girls night and got a couple appetizers- I think the stuffed mushrooms and... let me go look... Vietnamese tacos! They weren't bad and it wasn't a huge pile of food either.
The cheesecake slices are enormous so I would say to split a piece if your friends wants cheesecake. |
| Jamaican Black Pepper Shrimp is great. Spicy, comes with plantains and black beans and rice. |
Doesn't Montgomery County have a law that you need to display the calorie counts for all dishes, not just the skinny ones? |
| No, they don't have that law...they may have tried to pass it, but restaurants in Montgomery County definitely don't all offer calorie counts...but this was also the Cheesecake Factory in Columbia. I checked online and they do not have a nutrition guide on their website, either. |
| Salads are good, chicken madeira, cajun type pasta also good... |
