Will Schools Close Tomorrow?

I'm looking at the weather forecast & I see the potential for ice through noon which if I'm correct, kids will be gmgeading out to school amid icy weather. Yes?

The advisory was until noon. But temperatures are rising above freezing, and according to the weather I'm looking at it is raining, not icing. Its going to be wet and slushy.

It's 30 degrees (below freezing) and icy out. My high schooler is getting ready to walk to school. So, no, right NOW the tempts are not rising and my kid is walking on ice.

Moco is big. What's happening in Bethesda or silver spring isn't always happening in Potomac, poolesville, it Damascus.

Note I said, "rising". Future tense.

Yes the sidewalks were a bit slippery this morning. It was 33 degrees when I left. Wear boots and walk carefully. By noon, it was above freezing and everything was melted. We're not made of glass and it would have been silly to miss an entire day of school because it was a little icy on the sidewalks this morning (and the roads were fine).
