We have been to most of the higher-end restaurants in DC. Fiola is the *only* place I have been made to feel less important than others dining there (even when actual VIPs were dining there!). I don't know who these people were, but they were given tons of attention, and the rest of us were made to feel not as important, even though we were all spending hundreds of dollars on dinner. Won't be going back, ever.

Agree. I have never seen such pretentious service in a restaurant! The waiter acted like he was doing us a favor, the food was good but nothing special, and the wine was so grossly overpriced that we wanted to order beer instead (and we're big wine-os).

We won't go back or recommend it to friends.

Obviously all restaurants have huge mark-ups on wines but Fiola seemed to be over the top with their mark-ups.
