According to the website there is only one lot remaining and the house has already been picked. So you can probably make upgrades, but can't pick the layout. No prices are listed.

Hmmm, if the developer is Madison homes, their website does not indicate that they will have or are building homes on this particular piece of land. The enclave at Balston is another piece of property where all but one home is sold. Anyone have info on who the developer is?

The developer is an LLC called "Lacey .." something or other. I understand it is a subsidiary of The Barrett Companies. I could not find anything about it on their website however.

The developer of the Lots near Lacey Woods park is Barry Chamberlin (Barrett Company) who is second generation Arlington builder. His last big project was near Chain Bridge Rd with large colonials on small lots. The old Victorian near the site was owned by the Union Colonel Lacey. In post Civil War Arlington Col Lacey allegedly "stole" all the surrounding farm land from Confederate widows. The area west of George Mason is Lacey Woods Park and the surrounding homes are Lacey Forest

I gre up in Arlington and that land has always been trees. I actually thought it must belong to the County since it was not developed. Made me want to cry to see the area cleared last week. I would be really unhappy if I lived in one of the homes on the parallel street to Washington that lost their view of parkland.

Does anyone know what's being built on the small triangle of a lot near the intersection of George Mason, Washington Blvd, and N. 14th Street? It's across the street from an old Victorian house that now looks oddly out of place, flanked by two new(er) construction homes.

Dude, read these posts. A bunch of houses with small yards.

It's going to be a school for better reading comprehension. I hear there is at least one opening...

Anyone have an update regarding this piece of land?

after the first partnership fizzled, the land is up for sale. I like in the neighborhood and our neighborhood newsletter said something about a deal almost being done. However, since a new company is buying the property, they might change the plans for developing the site.

I am betting on a townhouse community, not super big houses but would prefer houses b/c less traffic.
