Why won't we legalized marajuana?

Would those who complain about OP's writing, please clue me in. I see one misspelling (marAjuana) and one extra comma ("is, money"), but that's far less than the usual number of typos or real bloopers when typing on a laptop or phone. Besides, it hardly furthers the substantive discussion to harp on someone's grammar.

This is America. We legalize AR-15s, .223 rounds, and 30-round mags. If cannabis was useful in defending us from tyrannical government, we'd legalize that too, no problemo.

OP here. I never smoke pot. I tried it a few times 20 years ago, hated it.

I post on the political forum all the time. I have NEVER had anyone tell me my writing is "loopy" before. I think that's a hilarious indication of something about YOU, more than it says anything about me.

No, I don't spend as much time proofing my writing to ensure it's up to the dcum political forums standards. Why don't we move over to the Off Topic thread on "sex I've had with random strangers while drunk" to get a better idea of what dcum quality writing standards really look like.

I appreciate the sincere replies. My point is, I don't think it makes much sense to continue to criminalize pot when there are so many other ills in our society that people happily profit from. Why not profit from mar"A"jana? Maybe we can put the taxes to some productive use, and end at least that part of the waste that is the War on Drugs.

Ah, yes, so you were referring to me. To be clear, I don't like nuclear power because the risks are minimal, but the effects are so drastic and also because they really haven't solved the problem of what to do with the waste.

Odd that you fear it so much, though. All the "nuclear" people I know - both engineers from the plant as well as navy personnel who worked in close proximity - respected it, and they, too, understood the risks. Your experience, evidently, is theoretical only.

I never gave you any statement that said I "fear it so much". An early poster expressed concern about nuclear power, which is an entirely reasonable opinion. You on the other hand you wrote "I grew up next to a nuke plant and I'm fine". That is obviously inadequate experience to form an opinion about nuclear power. You know it, I know it. So why say it?
