Where to buy tile?

We later (10 months) decided to do the same wall further down (on the other side of a utility closet) and found that the tile we found at Lowe's was discontinued. I called Wheaton Tile Center and they were able to find a warehouse that still had 5 cases of the tile we needed, they ordered it and we got it. The new case was even cheaper than the price we purchased the first case from Lowe's. They are open Mon & Thu 10am-7pm, Tue/Wed/Fri 10am-5pm and Sat 10am-4pm. Maybe not as often as the box store, but long enough hours.

I agree, good store for basic stuff. Very good service.

I second Circa Tile. We found a similar tile to one that Architectural Ceramics was truly going to charge us 5X as much. We get compliments all the time.

We used Morris Tile for our "basic" bathroom, but Conestoga for our two more upscale ones.

Morris was very helpful and the price was right, but their selection was not as big. They had some upscale stuff, but it was big, bold, would-only-look-good-in-a-600-sq.-foot-bathroom-in-a-magazine type stuff. Big gap between that and their basic lines. We wanted some mid-to-upper level stuff and Conestoga had a very wide selection of tastes and price points.
