Baby Sprinkles??

ugh...a shower/sprinkle for a 2nd baby is just tacky, tacky, tacky!! a better idea would be to show up at said prego's house with a meal that can be frozen and defrosted/reheated for baby's arrival. or a promisory note for such a thing. or a schedule for meals that each guest can sign up for. really, what else do you need??

Several of my friends have had second or third babies this year and we've done a get together dinner ( which we typically do anyway once a month ). Usually around the time they are 9 months pregnant, we do a small gift from the entire group of girls. For instance, some moms need a double stroller or their car seat is too old to use, or whatever. We each chip in what we can and celebrate the new baby. I think the whole point is to share the joy of a new baby and not critize the mother for getting yet another 'baby sprinkle', whether she wanted it or not.
