Does your house cleaner wash sheets, make bed, and do laundry?

Do you mind me asking how much you pay your 12 hour a week cleaner?

My service changes the sheets and makes the bed with clean sheets that I leave out. They will wash the dirty sheets but sometimes they would leave them in the drier or use the wrong soap so I just do them my self now.

I may have replied to this thread 11 years ago when it was first posted, but yes, our house cleaner washes sheets and towels. No other laundry and I would not want that anyway.

At our beach house the cleaners will change the sheets if I put them out on the bed but don't do laundry. The difference is that they bring a team and are in and out in 2-2.5 hours, which wouldn't be enough time to finish even one load of laundry.

When I had a single person cleaning the house she did wash sheets and towels. Never other laundry. However, she was there all day. I now have a service and they don't do laundry but will change the sheets if we have them out for them. I much prefer it this way. I don't mind doing laundry but despise changing sheets.

We have a house keeper and yes she does this.

I strip bed and wash sheets the morning she's coming, and she makes the bed. She does not do personal laundry or organize closets.

We have twice a week cleaning ladies, and they do all sheets and towels. We do all clothes. There have been a few times a load of clothes was accidentally left in the dryer and when they leave, they've folded them up for us. The nanny does the kids laundry.

The weekly service I use will not strip the beds, but will put on clean sheets and get the clean sheets from the closet. They also gather the stripped sheets and wash them & flip them to the dryer before leaving. They don't fold 99% of the time and I'm fine with that.

If we don't want the sheets washed that week, we leave them on and they'll simply make the beds instead.

They don't do any other laundry, though.

I had someone who came once a week to do our laundry back when I had 4 teens at home. Now we're down to one kid still in HS so it's not as much laundry and she does her own. For the record, the others could also do their own laundry, but we were having too many laundry fights. Even assigning each kid a laundry night didn't work because their schedules were always changing due to sports and after school activities. I was over it so I found someone to do it for us.

For laundry if you don't have a housekeeper then you can use a laundress. I had one that i paid 15/hr 4hrs a week. I dumped a mountain of clean clothes on the bed and she folded and hung and put away. She also periodically organized drawers and pulled and stored the kids clothes that were too small.

Where did you find this person? this is exactly what I've been looking for

Mine does offer it, but I prefer to do it myself only because I pay by the hour, and I'd rather they focus on other stuff (bathroom, kitchen).

Yes this is what we ask ours to do. We wash and put away the sheets.

No. I am not that lazy. They clean the house.
For laundry either hire a laundress or find a full service laundromat.
