I'm one of those women who gets very muscular from lifting and who can achieve pretty good definition when I'm eating "clean." The only time I look large, though, is when I'm working out a lot and eating too much. Then I have nice muscles underneath a big layer of fat. THAT makes me look big, not the exercising.
I don't mind having muscular legs - I'm genetically prone to it - though it does make jeans shopping harder. (hint: low-rise boot cut jeans usually work for me, with longer shirts so there's no tummy showing.) |
