| About the NV plan -- at the time we made the decision, I think it offered the lowest fees among 529s. We prioritized fund selection (we really like Vanguards index funds) and low fees, and I think that's why NV won out. Over the course of many years, fees can really take a bite out of your gains, and potentially erode any benefits you get from deductions. |

16:33 poster here again -- this thread prompted me to take a quick look at the available options to see if we still want to stick with Nevada.
If you are looking for the lowest fees and Vanguard index funds, it looks like Nevada and Utah are still the front runners.
