I think we both said that we didn't look like models. The body on that model is not difficult to obtain. She isn't super skinny. She is healthy and well-toned. Geesh - the jealousy is thick in here. Really sorry that y'all are fat. I'm sure you have a million excuses. As a trainer, I've heard them all. Truth? I've never met a fatty that couldn't lose weight. It takes hard work, discipline, and commitment. |
| I'm not fat. I'm 5'5 and I weigh 115, and I work out. But I would never be so vain as to think my body was as good as a supermodels because I am, you know, living in the actual world. Nobody is stopping me in the street or paying me millions to walk around in my underwear, though, I guess that happens to you on the regular. We can't all be so amazing. |
It's just like being a megamillionaire - the only reason you don't achieve it is because you are lazy. I guess it's just as well that I don't have any friends who are supermodels, multi-millionaires or annoying personal trainers. ("the body on that model is not difficult to obtain") |
| She's married to a drunk and a nut. I wish her luck with whatever she has to get through this life. |
you're a trainer and you use the term "fatty"? i feel sorry for your clients. |
| When she has given birth to four babies, and looks like that, I will be impressed. |
| I think it's refreshing to see a non anorexic model I think america is finally embracing normal sized women. |

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/11/04/fashion/04Gimlet.html “What people don’t realize is that they’re rarer by far than superstar athletes,” Mr. Razek said of women who fit precise but unwritten physical parameters for becoming a Victoria’s Secret angel. “The numbers of people who can do this are probably under 100 in the world” |
| Looks like plus size models are in this year, but victoria's secrets keeps a lot of over hill models. |
Well I work out as much if not more than you. I lift weights 3x per week (lift heavy), workout with a trainer 1X per week, run 4-5 miles 2X per week and run 8-10 miles 1X per week. I eat mostly organic unprocessed foods. I am in no way fat, I have a flat stomach. But I'm 5'5" with small boobs, a boyish waist/hips and muscular thighs and calves. I think I look good naked, but I DO NOT look like her. |

A lot of how your body looks is genetics. You either have the disposition to look the model or you don't.
FWIW, you don't get those stomach muscles by starving yourself. She looks healthy. My niece models. Certainly not VS calibre but she spends time on a catwalk, etc. Healthy? Not really. Smoking, drinking, junk food. But she's tall and willowy and has the metabolism she needs to burn off the junk food. Make up covers the blemishes, the not quite healthy skin caused by a not so healthy lifestyle. It is refreshing to me to read about a successful model who from appearances lives a healthy lifestyle. She's right, it is possible to be a parent, work full time etc. and still be healthy. |
Seriously. Trainer, please tell me where you work so I can avoid going there. I'm all for busting my ass after the baby, but I don't need to be paying a trainer who is calling me fatty to other people or even in her own mind. How can you have such contempt for your clients? |
Another example of what, exactly? Being genetically fortunate? I also run several days per week and do P90X. Unlike you, I eat quite healthy. However, I will never in a million years look like that model, and I don't have a flat stomach. |
| yea, i'm with the "if she's a model, then she's not a full-time mom" camp. it's HER JOB to look like this. |
| She looks great, but I must say, I don't think she demonstrates that it "can be done" for all moms. Her job is to work out, look great, and be attractive. Mine is to sit on my butt writing briefs and occasionally go to court. More power to her for looking good, but it has little or nothing to do with my reality. |
