Tell me how you found your PT Child Care

I have a part time nanny once per week that has worked out great. Where are you located? If you are still looking I think she is open to taking more work. If you are interested I can send you an email if you post your address.

We found a PT nanny on here. She is an older mom with middle school/high school kids. She wanted to be PT so that she had some days to make sports games (same day every week), volunteer at her kids' schools, be home some days when they get home from school, etc. After 2 years, it is still perfect! Since she does mom stuff on her days off, she is almost always flexible if we need to switch days. Or, in a pinch, my kids have gone along for her kids' ortho appointments or soccer games! Her family is now like family to us!

Georgetown Hill offers part time options if you're in Maryland.
A phenomenal center.

Children in the Shoe in Bethesda has part-time options - both my kids were there three days a week for years and it was terrific. Now we have an afternoon sitter we found on Care.com.

Where are you located? I am in Alexandria and after 30 years of providing full time care I am considering restructuring my daycare to provide only drop in and part time care for those who cant find those alternatives. My last family I had went from full time to part time and have since moved on to finding someone in their home as they needed much longer hours for the 2 days they needed care.

If anyone is interested in more information, you can contact me at mnchkds1@aol.com
